Abiola Babalakin, MD

Dr. Babalakin is the Medical Director of Jydes Family Clinic. She is dually Board Certified in Child-Adolescent and General Psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria. Subsequently, she completed residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine and Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Babalakin is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Her expertise serves well in the management of a wide range of psychiatric illnesses including autistic spectrum disorders. She values a holistic approach in the evaluation and development of treatment plans, and in collaborating with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide care in the best interest of each patient. Her ability to help patients work through problems in psychotherapy and to prescribe medication when needed promote health and wellness in everyone she treats.

Deirdre Hall, APRN, FNP-C

Deirdre is a Nurse Practitioner who relocated to the Atlanta area in 2007. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Loyola University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Dillard University and her Masters Degree in Nursing from Southern University. She has enjoyed over 20 years of working in the medical profession treating children, adolescents, and adults. Deirdre joined Jydes Family Clinic in 2014 and works between several of our current locations. She likes to create an environment of ease and relaxation where clients and their family members will feel comfortable and participate in their care. She has a passion for inspiring and providing treatment to clients so they may reach their full potential, as well as optimal health and well-being.

Jason Jones, APRN-BC, PMHNP-BC

Jason is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who relocated from Texas to Georgia in 2014. During his first career Jason obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and spent 20 years working as a private investigator completing liability, mortgage fraud, and worker’s compensation investigations. He then obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Georgia Gwinnett College before working in several intensive care units at local hospitals. Jason then returned to college a final time to obtain his Master’s degree in Nursing at Walden University.

“Since joining Jydes Family Clinic, I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with clients of all ages as they seek help in managing their mental health. When difficult times present themselves and we adapt to changes in the world, it is increasingly important to care for your physical and mental well-being. Assisting my clients with their medication management and therapy is a responsibility that I am honored to participate in.” 

Jason is married with three children and a house full of animals that always keep things interesting.

Falon Sellers, APRN-BC, PMHNP-BC

Falon is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is originally from the Augusta area but has called North Georgia home since 2012. Falon graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Georgia in 2017. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in 2024. She began her nursing career as a medical-surgical nurse on an inpatient medical unit but has been working with the inpatient psychiatric population for the past 4½ years. During this time, she has worked with patients ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric. Falon's goal is to meet patients exactly where they are and help them achieve and maintain maximum mental health and quality of life through collaboration with the patient. She values a comprehensive approach in the evaluation and development of treatment plans, knowing that each patient is an individual and there is no such thing as a "one size fits all" treatment. She strives to foster a therapeutic relationship with her patients and create a positive environment where patients and their families feel at ease. 

Felisha Jones, LPC - Therapist

Felisha A. Jones is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. She has a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from Shorter College and a Master's Degree (MA) in Counseling from Liberty University, with several hours of continuing education. Felisha is dedicated to helping others improve their lives through education, insight, and change. She has over 6 years’ experience as a therapist interacting with a diverse group of individuals. She has worked with various age groups and diagnoses including individual, group and family therapy. With the client’s consent, she’s able to integrate theology and psychology to aid with problem-solving, overcoming personal issues, and working toward positive home and school experiences etc. Felisha’s theoretical orientation is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eclectic Therapy. She understands that each individual is unique and requires a unique treatment plan. Eclectic therapy offers a more flexible and multifaceted approach that allows the therapist to use the most effective methods available to address their client’s individual needs. Felisha is the happily married mother of two young children whom she enjoys spending time with. Beyond the therapy room, there are many things Felisha likes but most of all she enjoy relaxing at the spa.

 

Laura Glover, LPC - Therapist

Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. She has a Bachelor's in Psychology from Georgia State University and a Master's in Professional Counseling from the University of West Georgia. She has experience in intensive and partial hospitalization programs. Her expertise includes working with individuals with depression, anxiety, gender identity issues, substance abuse, life changes, and trauma. Laura has a passion for working with adolescents and adults and wants everyone to feel safe, comfortable and find the power in themselves to conquer their struggles. Her treatment approach includes person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and creativity in sessions.

 

Triana Smith, Marriage and Family Therapist

Triana Smith is a Marriage and Family Therapy professional. Triana holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, along with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Behavioral Analysis. She is an active member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and a proud member of the Delta Kappa MFT Honors Society. Triana's philosophy of therapy is guided by the belief that embracing both the light and dark aspects of one's life leads to true self-discovery. As Brennan Manning once said, "To live by grace means to acknowledge my whole life story, the light side and the dark." Triana has a heavy background in trauma therapy and Christian therapy and strives to help her clients transition from merely surviving to truly thriving. She creates a judgment-free, transparent space where clients can feel fully seen and supported as they work toward self-fulfillment. With a trauma-informed approach, Triana works collaboratively with clients dealing with trauma, loss of identity, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties, providing them with tools for personal growth. Triana's theoretical orientation includes Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Collaborative approaches, all customized to each client's unique needs.

 

Santerrius Barlow, Mental Health Counselor

Santerrius is a dedicated and down-to-earth pre-licensed therapist committed to helping individuals discover and grow into their true, authentic selves. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Union College (Ky) and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University of Louisiana, Santerrius brings a strong educational background and a practical approach to therapy.

During Santerrius' time at Dillard University, he honed his skills working with college-aged clients, helping them navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with young adulthood. At Thriveworks Counseling & Coaching, Santerrius expanded his expertise, working with clients from age 7 to 66, tackling a wide range of mental health issues. This experience has shaped Santerrius into a versatile therapist, capable of connecting with clients from all walks of life.
